TennisApproach provides a full range of services for individuals, schools, camps, parks and recreation and tennis clubs/facilities looking to create, expand or reinvigorate their programming. As owner and Coach, James Alfalla can teach your students faster with more effectiveness.
For those 10 and under, TennisApproach specializes in the latest USTA endorsed 10 and under format. This format involves shorter courts, appropriately sized equipment, and a variety of new age-appropriate teaching methods by which movement and hand-eye coordination are introduced. 10 and under tennis eliminates the frustration often occurring to children when they use the wrong size racket and a net and or court that is too disproportional to their size.
TennisApproach values game play as kids learn to develop the skills to rally. For kids, it is all about the smiling and fun play but also learning the proper stroke and movement fundamentals. The main difference with TennisApproach is that I use a teaching system and philosophy for each student in a consistent manner whereas many instructors ,especially if not a part of an academy just teach strokes , footwork or components of tennis independently.
I believe strongly in starting kids early with proper movement drills and games as well as teaching them correct modern stroke technique. TennisApproach over the last 10 years had developed it’s own eclectic approach for teaching kids. I feel my approach not only helps a naturally coordinated athletic child but really helps that child that is struggling with motor skill and hand-eye coordination.
Creating and building confidence is key !
TennisApproach offers a great way to get children from your school into the game of tennis. TA provides all of the equipment including appropriately sized nets, rackets, balls and learning aids. I utilize the 10 and under tennis format sanctioned by the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and strive ultimately to create a fun and engaging way for children of all ages to learn the sport of tennis. TennisApproach has developed it’s own proprietary curriculum for teaching early childhood students ages 5 -7. I use a fun educational approach that ties in tennis skills with cross disciplinary learning. The kids not only learn tennis but are challenged via math, sciences, in a fun way.
